Honey was found in December 2015 with 5 newborn pups living on the street. The first few days she was so scared that she didn't want to come out of her room, she didn't understand how to walk on a leash or to trust people. Within a few days of pampering she started to open up. Once her puppies were old enough to be on solid food she felt like she could start exploring the house. She made friends with my 2 dogs and 7 year old daughter very quickly. As time passed her puppies were adopted one by one. Now all of her puppies have found furever homes and she is hoping to find one of her own. She is the perfect family dog. She is gentle and loving with children and other pets yet loves to play with toys and go for walks. She is up to date on all her shots, including rabies and is already microchipped and spayed. If you are interested in meeting this sweet girl please fill out our app online. Once it has been reviewed you will be contacted to set up a meet and greet. Thank you for considering a rescue animal!

**Through no fault of her own, Honey is with a new foster mom now. She is enjoying playing with her foster brothers and gets along with my little kids. She goes in the crate at night and whenever we are gone during the day. Honey is such a playful and sweet girl and so full of joy.

Honey is low hearthworm positive. She takes her monthly heartworm pill quite happily in exchange for a treat.

Please contact  app@aarfhouston.org  for more information about this dog. You can apply online by clicking on Application . Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet and greet at one of our adoption events. Thank you for considering a rescue!

More about Honey 5

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip.

Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.

NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.

AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation , no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
