UPDATE:  Penelope now has a new foster.  She is very affectionate, and loves to cuddle with people. She uses different gestures to get a person's attention.  She makes sure she has the petting and cuddling that she wants.  She likes to play with her toys and especially loves to play with another dog or a person. Penelope is a black and white combination of Shih Tzu and Terrier. Penelope is adorable and a perfect size - 22 lbs.   Since being at my house, she has learned how to get outside using a doggie door.

Meet sweet little Penelope!  Once a puppy mill dog, now learning what life and being loved is all about!  Her biggest wish is for a forever home of her own.  She is great with people, loves cats and dogs of all sizes, crate trained, housebroken, and just about the best girl you can find. 

She's is in the middle of Pbeing treated for heartworms, and looking forward to being rid of those pesky critters!  Penelope will be spayed once she is low/negative.  :)

The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip.

Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.

NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.
