Dixie Lou is the poster child for playful pups! Even though she was thrown from a car in a parking lot, all she shows is love for everyone. She immediately fit in with her foster fur-siblings and wants nothing more than to play with them all the time. But, when it's bedtime, she demands to snuggle with her foster mom.
Dixie would do best with an active adopter because she has lots of puppy energy to burn off! A family with older children would be perfect! She's still a big pup, so younger children are not recommended. We don't want any little one accidentally getting knocked over while playing with Dixie. Another bonus for her would be having another dog in the house! She's a very social girl, and so happy! She's ready for her forever family!
She's working on being potty trained, does pretty well on her leash (considering she's excited about everything she sees) and is just a wonderful bundle of love!

The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip.
Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.
It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.
NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.
