Hello, thank you for visiting and having an interest in me becoming part of your family. My name is Mr.Scruffy my foster mom calls me Scruffaluffagus and Scruffs. I am a little tike and my foster mom says I can still be very timid but I am starting to come out of my shell and have started to come to her for love and ear scratches. I get along with my foster sister Meggie and my Foster feline Siblings. I like to take walks following my mom around the yard and have been prancing around with a skip in my step, but am still kinda scared to be picked up but once you do I am comfortable being held. I am doing good with potty training, I do have accidents in the house but mom uses puppy pads for me, I am still kinda scared to go out in the yard by myself because of my foster brother he is kinda a bully. I like to sleep in and I sleep above mom's head sometimes but would be good in a crate with my special pillow. I am mostly crate trained and like to take naps in it during the day. Mom says I am the cutest Boy EVER but I need some patience getting to know my new surroundings. I do have some issues with my teeth and my rear right knee but it doesn't slow me down I just need to be careful jumping up and my adult teeth are coming in great. I am trying to learn how to get up the puppy stairs onto mom's bed, I have gotten down them easy peezy! I would be best suitable with a female dog sister as I play with my 8-month-old foster sister but I'm not a fan of male dogs mostly they don't like me, I don't get it what's not to love! A home with a couple or a single mom or dad I think would be suited for me I seemed to bond only with one human but as the months go by and I get out of my shell mom thinks I would be a good family pup! I am starting to get my swagger on :D Again thank you for checking out my profile page I hope I can find a furrever home soon and hope it is you!

ADOPTION FEE:  The adoption fee includes vaccinations, bordetella, deworming, rabies, Microchip including a lifetime registration and spay/neuter.  

PUPPIES   Texas State law requires that we sterilize any animal adopted through this agency.     This will normally occur between 5 and 6 months at one of our approved veterinarians at the expense of the rescue.

Children under 8 years old  often are not a good match for our puppies and dogs.   In order to protect both, your child and our rescued dogs/puppies from harm, we seldom if ever adopt to families with young children.

Approval:  You will be notified via email once your application is approved.  Once notified, we will schedule a meet and greet at one of our approved locations.   Thank you for considering a rescue!

The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip.

Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.

NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.

AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues.
