Jasmine is looking for a very special family, experienced with dominant bully breeds and no small children, cats or other female dogs. Jasmine would be great as a best friend and home protector.

Jasmine was found in February 2013.  She was starving, missing alot of her fur and with wounds on her back.  Jasmine's first vet visit didn't go well - she had "rain rot" (a bacterial infection), demodex (red) mange, heartworm positive, badly healed wounds to her back, and broken teeth.

Jasmine has been spayed, cured of the bacterial infection and demodex mange.  She is now HW negative but must remain on monthly heartworm prevention.  Through her treatment, Jasmine has remained sweet and loyal to her foster mom.

Jasmine has received an evaluation and limited training with a professional.  She is hyper-vigilant, vocal, and does NOT get along with other dominant female dogs.  She should be introduced slowly to adult male dogs her size or larger.  She reacts well to training, but does continue to test her boundaries.

Jasmine loves her ball and will keep it in her mouth as much as possible.  Jasmine is kennel-trained, but prefers to be out when her family is home.  Once she is comfortable with her environment, she is a huge cuddle-bug -- when given the chance, she will curl up next to you on a couch, chair or bed and she really likes belly rubs.

Jasmine has come a long way in the year that she has been fostered, but she is ready to take the next step to a forever home of her very own -   with someone that will make her feel safe and loved.

Please contact Stephanie at (281)414-2209 or  info@aarfhouston.org  for more information about Jasmine, or y
ou can apply online at www.aarfhouston.org/forms. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet and greet. Thank you for considering a rescue!

Special Needs: Jasmine needs a family with dominate bully breed experience. She does NOT get along with other females dogs. She does well with male dogs her size or larger, but must be introduced slowly.

The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip.

Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.

NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.

AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation , no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
