Bogie is a beautiful fawn Labrador/Shepherd mix.  He is a sweet boy who loves to cuddle and snuggle with everyone! He will sleep with you all night if you let him! He isn't afraid to get dirty and loves to run. He jumps with joy when it's food time…  He takes treats from my hand so gently…   He loves his squeaky toys, squeaky football…  He Loves Life….   He has the most awesome brown eyes I have ever seen…..

He is VERY people friendly…  Loves everyone he meets, loves kids…   He’s been around a 4 year old and all that comes with and he handled himself just fine…  He turns into a big puppy with kids and when meeting new people.

As sweet and adorable as Bogie is with us humans, he is NOT dog or cat friendly.  He would be best as an only dog.

Bogie would be a great addition for any family who is fairly active and who has had some experience with a strong breed like shepherds, etc.   Bogie is kennel trained and house trained…

Bogie is not a high energy dog.  He’s in the middle…  We go walking/jogging every day…  I usually take Friday off after long work week and chill…  And then we’re back to our regular walking schedule..  The only other times we don’t go out is when it’s raining or when extremely cold…

Sometimes when we go walking… I let Bogie get in front with the leash and I’ll say..  “Go Bogie Go!! and he takes off running and I hold my weight back just enough for him to pull so he can get a good work out…  We have a blast…  The neighborhood thinks we are great when they see us pass by…   He is a cheerful, bouncy boy - but he can also just chill out on the rug or sofa or sunbathe outside…

Please consider making Bogie a new member of your family!! You will be rewarded with a lifetime of unconditional love.  He truly adores everyone who has been a part of his life….   And he is simply gorgeous…

Please contact  app@aarfhouston.org  for more information about this dog or to schedule a meet and greet. You can apply online by clicking on Application . Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet and greet at one of our adoption events. Thank you for considering a rescue!

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.

AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation , no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
