This is Maia from Medusa's litter. Maia means Spring Goddess.
She is the most petite, most lovable, most sensitive of my half of the litter. She wants to be close, and comes for a snuggle. She sits for attention at 7 weeks.
Maia has brindle feet and a little brindle around her face. Bull Terrier and German Shepherd blend makes this litter one of the smartest sets of puppies I have ever had. But, it is that combination of breeds that will make placing these babies the most challenging.
Maia will only go to an adopter who is dedicated to training, who understands the breeds. We don't want any missed steps with these super smart kids.
She will make great family companion if given the proper training. There are several great trainers around and we can help make introductions.
After 26 hours in labor, Medusa had a stillborn pup stuck in the birth canal and was in distress when she came to AARF Houston. Rushed to the vet for emergency surgery, Medusa delivered one very lucky boy to add to her collection of 5 girls.
Please contact app@aarfhouston.org for more information about this dog. You can apply online by clicking on Application. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet and greet at one of our adoption events. Thank you for considering a rescue!

The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip.
Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.
It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.
NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.
AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation, no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
