Hi, my name is Penny Lane. I'm a young female german shepherd. My previous owners could not take care of me and left me outside all the time, which caused the skin irritation you see on my nose and my legs. I'm taking joint supplements and a good daily vitamin and they are making me feel better and look beautiful!
I was not socialized and have very little experience with humans and dogs. I'm learning what it's like to havesisters and brothers, my foster parents tell me I'm doing a really good job. I used to think toes and hands were toys but I've been told that they are not! I'm learning to play with toys and I love rawhides. I also like being indoors, so please keep me inside with you! I love the feel of a fluffy bed and to sleep in the house.
I'm learning to eat out of bowl, I'm potty and crate trained & I get along with my 3 German shepherd foster siblings. I'm still learning to play with small dogs but do well with large dogs! I'm leashed trained and i love a good neck massage!
I have a lot to learn & I'm doing so good. Both my foster parents give me lots of love and attention. They work with me and my manners. I promise I'll learn what you need me to learn and will always be there to love you unconditionally.
Hope to meet you soon.....love,
Penny

The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip.
Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.
It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.
NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.
AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation, no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
