ADOPTION FEE IS COVERED! This is the cutest and funniest dog ever!
Lucy is now living in a foster home and is making a big impression with her playful nature. Lucy was recently surrendered by her owners who moved cross-country and were sadly not able to bring her with them. She is such a good dog. She doesn't chew anything up, she's totally house trained - no accidents, she's not a licker or jumper. She wags her tail and gets excited when you walk in the door but does not jump and go crazy over you. She's very affectionate and sweet!
Lucy has been a very good house guest; she learned the house rules quickly. She walks well on a leash and doesn't pull or react too much to other dogs or cats in the neighborhood, if you tell her to "leave it". She loves to chase a laser pointer and reflections or shadows around the house and is absolutely hilarious with it.
Lucy follows her foster mom around the house while she works like a quiet little shadow and lays calmly at her feet when she works on the computer. She’s a very sweet dog and loves putting her front paws on your knees and asking permission to rest on your lap. She did great with a previous possible adopters other dog but not so much the cats, however with proper introductions to a cat, I think she would do well as she grew up with a cat sister. She'll bark as someone comes to the door - so great for the guard dog sound, but quickly welcomes the person once she realizes they are a friend. Dog sitters say she's the best dog they've sat for!
Beautiful, cuddly, lovable and super playful, Lucy is a great dog and will adjust well to the rules of your home. Come meet this sweet girl!

Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.
It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.
NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.
AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation, no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
