Mikey (previously Izzy) was an owner surrender.  He's hw neg and recently neutered.  He'll be 2 in December.  Mikey has been returned twice by adopters.  We've determined that the issues he was having were due to severe separation anxiety.  However, as long as he's in a household with at least one other dog who is home with him when the people leave, he has no issues whatsoever.  This being the case, any potential adopters need to have at least one other dog in their household.

UPDATE:  Mikey is doing amazing with his housebreaking and manners in general.  He is SO EAGER to learn.  He no longer needs to be tethered inside and hasn't had any accidents.  He was tested by Cathy Dorchuck (CBDT - certified bio dog trainer) and it was determined that he has excellent potential as a possible therapy or emotional support dog.  She'll be providing THREE FREE WEEKS of basic obedience training when he's adopted.

UPDATE:  We (Mikey's foster family) recently had a big new tree planted in the yard.  Mikey's new most favorite game is playing 'ring around the rosey' with his best fur friend - aka playing 'chase' in circles around the tree.  He's SO FAST!  His BFF constantly wipes out trying to keep up.  I'll upload a video to his FB page asap.  :)

The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip.

Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.

NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.
