Sammy 3 is a very unique dog with an ironic story.
We received a call from Dallas Shelter with a microchip that was assigned to our rescue. We scoured our database, searched pictures, had files sent to us by home again. We finally determined that there must have been a mistake by one of our volunteers or vets that had supplies of microchips.
We called our vets and had them run the chip number and finally got a match. The microchip given to us by the Dallas Shelter was actually implanted in our Melrose Park Sampson who was murdered on February 10, 2016. We called Dallas and requested for the third time, that Sammy's chip be rescanned. Bingo! They had transposed one of the microchip numbers. Sammy was not an AARF Houston puppy.
But the irony is that Sammy 3 is a clone of our Sampson. The fact that his erroneous number lead us to correct the microchip number on Sampson was unbelievable. But since it is February 10, 2019 - We took God's push and pulled Sammy 3 from the shelter. He went home with his foster Gail. No one can deny that this was meant to be and we are thrilled to be able to reunite Gail with her Sammy.

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.

AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation, no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
