I am Mars! A good samaritan found me and my litter playing in the road and stopped to help. The man that owns my mom didn't want us and gave us all to this wonderful man. AARF Houston took us straight to the vet for vaccinations and medical treatments for our skin which was really nasty because of being out in the weather.
We are all healing nicely and have had 2 vaccinations and are ready to be adopted. So, if you are looking for a fun loving, playful puppy - I am your gal!
I will need a fenced yard, although that is only used for when I am outside playing with you and for potty time. I need to be an inside dog. I would love to have a family with kids, but understand if you just want me all for yourself. Come see me!
Hello! Mars here. My foster mommy has 2 big doggies, one looks exactly like me! I love to play with them. I was in boarding for a long time after I was rescued because there was no one to take care of me. I dont like being by myself, Im glad I have foster sisters with me. My teeth are very itchy and I like to chew and tug on toys! I still have lots to learn, foster mommy just taught me how to put my butt to the floor. She calls it "sit". Please come see me!
I love to cuddle and be your shadow. Will you be my human? =========================================================
Puppies that are under 4 months old cannot be adopted outside of our Veterinary Service area. Please call for specific locations.
Children under 8 years old often are not a good match for our puppies and dogs. In order to protect both, your child and our rescued dogs/puppies from harm, we seldom if ever adopt to families with young children.
Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet and greet at one of our adoption events. Thank you for considering a rescue!

The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip.
Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.
It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.
NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.
AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation, no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
