Marty has a dilemma. He can’t decide which is his favorite thing to do; Ride in the car, or nap with his mom. He’s decided that napping in the car while mom drives him to Starbucks for a pupacino is the perfect compromise. Marty is a very sweet little boy. He loves to cuddle, especially with his 75 pound pit bull foster brother! They are inseparable. Not very vocal, he’s just chill! His foster mom has 3 other dogs in the house, all between 75 and 90 pounds. Marty, who is 8 pounds, thinks he outweighs all the big dogs. He’s a perfect gentleman. He is house trained and crate trained. He’s happy just being with you and giving you kisses! Marty is heartworm positive, which is very treatable. Marty has started his heartworm treatment meds. I don’t think anyone told Marty he actually has heartworms, because you would never know by looking at him. This sweet guy is so much fun, He follows his foster mom every where she goes, yep! Even to the bathroom
Puppies that are under 4 months old cannot be adopted outside of our Veterinary Service area. Please call for specific locations.
Children under 8 years old often are not a good match for our puppies and dogs. In order to protect both, your child and our rescued dogs/puppies from harm, we seldom if ever adopt to families with young children.
Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet and greet at one of our adoption events. Thank you for considering a rescue!

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.
NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.
AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation, no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
