I am Zena, but I am not a "warrior princess" at all. I am more of a lover. I was lucky enough to be saved from BARC, so now I am looking for my new home. I am still recovering from a case of kennel cough, but I should be ready to go to adoptions by 12/19. And I can't wait!
I am about 1 1/2 years old, & a ittie bittie pitte. I am good with both big & small dogs, (not sure about cats though, my foster mom doesn't have any). And I love to play with other dogs & toys.. (Did someone say squeaky toy?!?) & I do love my treats. I am great with everyone (kids too!), and I love people & attention. I am house trained, & crate trained (for the most part.. I still have issues here & there with the crate) I don't like it when people fight or raise their voice around me .. I get a little scared. My foster mom says that I am one of the best dogs in the house (woohoo!), & I think I am one of the prettiest (if I do say so myself!)
What I want the most, though, is a family to call my own with a mom & dad, and even brothers & sisters (both human & doggy). I would love nothing more than to lay with you on the couch, or at your feet, & to spend time with you. I really like positive reinforcement & attention (and treats.. and did I mention squeaky toys). Please give me a chance, & I promise you, you won't regret it! I won't let you down, PROMISE!
The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip.
Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.
It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.
NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.
AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation, no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
