Sparky is a Westie mix. His date of birth is approx. August 1, 2010. He is a sweet, playful little guy. He weighs approx. 10 lbs. He is crate trained and puppy pad trained. He is doing really well on his house training. He does still need work on his leash training. He was confiscated from his owner by the Bureau of Animal Regulation and Care (BARC) in Houston. Evidently his former owner was mean to him and yelled at him a lot. The first couple of days in his foster home, he ran to his crate every time there was a loud noise. After a week, he has gained his confidence back and is a very playful puppy. He enjoys playing with toys and other dogs. He is still not to sure about it being ok to sit in your lap but is slowly realizing that there are some nice people. He barks at the cats so it will probably be best if he was in a cat free home. The $200 adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, vet check, de-worming, rabies, neuter and microchip. There is a $10.99 fee to Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip.

Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.
It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.
