Misty is a very sweet girl who wants nothing more out of life than to be accepted and loved. Misty is very quiet and is a perfect partner for a couch potato that needs a loving companion! Misty follows her foster mom and dad around the house because she always wants to be near her humans. Misty is house broken and has very good manners. She is a little shy but responds very well to positive reinforcement. Sometimes we all need to be told we did a “good job!”
Misty was dropped off at BARC the week before Christmas (how terrible!) because her previous owner moved onto a property which would not allow a dog that looked like Misty. Misty was scheduled to be euthanized due to time constraints only until a volunteer and her foster mom got her out of there. Thank goodness for that because it is obvious that Misty has so much to offer this world!
Misty is very well balanced. She is not easily excitable and gets along very well with her foster brother (male border collie/shepard mix) and sisters (female pittbull, female pitt/boxer mix). She lets new animal friends and human friends approach her, and she has never shown any sign of aggression (even around food, bones and toys.) When the rest of Misty’s foster pack barks at something or gets excited, she just stands there and looks at her foster mom as if to say “what’s their problem?!” Misty sleeps on a dog bed on the floor and doesn’t make a peep all night. This girl is ready to be a permanent part to a new family and will melt your heart as soon as you meet her!
Misty has an amazing personality and deserves a loving family that will cherish her always!

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.
NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.
AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation, no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
