3-4 month old yellow lab mix.

Thor had a rough start in his short life.  He had to have his rear left leg amputated due to an old break that had not been taken care of.  He has healed from this surgery and is now ready for his forever home!

Playful, sweet, smart and eager to please!  He is working hard on his potty training with very few accidents.  Sleeps in his crate at night and is content as long as he can see his foster mom.  Thor loves his chew toys!  As a puppy he wants to chew everything, so just make sure he has the correct things to chew!  Remember, what puppies learn is what they keep with them as grown up dogs.  He loves people!  Wants to love on everyone he meets.  Gets along great with the small dogs in his foster home, and even likes the cats!  He is walking well on the leash, and starting to learn his basic commands:  sit, no, come.  Thor loves spending time in the fenced in yard with his foster brother and sister.

Thor would love a home with people who can give him the love and attention he deserves.  Another dog his size would be great!  He doesn’t know he is missing a leg, so don’t tell him!

Please contact Vicky at  info@aarfhouston.org  for more information about this dog or to schedule a meet and greet. You can apply online by clicking on Application . Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet and greet at one of our adoption events. Thank you for considering a rescue!

AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation , no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
