Jack and his siblings were born in the most unfortunate of places - an animal shelter. The family was rescued soon after, but not before they all developed demodex mange. Demodex mange (also known as red mange) is non-contagious, but sometimes difficult to cure. Jack and his sister Macy, unfortunately have been battling demodex mange for most of their young lives. Jack was looking good, but then relapsed and lost most of his fur! Now Jack is on a regime of good food, daily treatments and baths every seven days. His beautiful tan coat has grown back and, with his startling grey eyes, he is quite the looker!
Jack is shy when you first meet him, but he's a cuddler! He loves to snuggle and get a scratch just behind his ear, in that one sweet spot!
Jack likes to chase, be chased by, and roughhouse with his sister Macy. He is cautious meeting new dogs but is very friendly once he gets to know them!

Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.
It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.

AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation, no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
