Lassie is a German Shepherd with a smidge of Collie.

She was found in Melrose Park in September 2014 and transferred to foster care.   She has adjusted beautifully to living with kids, a grouchy 10 year old dog, a big goofy dog and a really high energy little dog.

Lassie has also learned that cates make the rules, but don't have to follow them.   She is house broken and crate trained and goes in the crate easily.  Especially if treats are involved.

Lassie is very people oriented.   She loves her people pack.

Lassie is very smart.  Learning not to jump up on everyone and has gotten out of her digging habit.

Sweet temperament.  Loves belly rubs.  She knows Sit, Down, Come, Leave it, and Stay

She is also leash trained.

Lassie is ready to be a treasured member of your family.   She is a very special girl.

Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.

NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.

AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation , no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
