Awesome with KIDS! Great Family Dog!
You want a relaxed, smart, awesome, beautiful, playful, low-key dog? Well, congrats! You've found her! Bonus: She's housetrained, good on a leash, great in the car, and loves life!
This sweet faced firl, had spent her early years on the streets of Houston, building character the hard way. Since around Thanksgiving she has been living with her foster family, which includes 5 other medium dogs. She is learning how to feel safe, relaxed, and loved. It took her no time at all to appreciate the finer things in life like leash walks and a comfy couch.
She is mild tempered, enjoyed bouts of play with our other foster girl, Lyla. Her first trip to the dog park was the best day ever for, Daisy Mae! She was ready to be friends with every dog there!
She is learning to appreciate the crate as a safe happy place, and she'll just relax when she's in there. No whining or barking or trying to get out.
She's is really discovering what toys are, and that they can be super dooper fun, even when you're playing alone, tossing a rope toy in the air and getting jiggy with it.
How is she with humans? She loves them! Big, little, black, white...it doesn't matter. She thinks people are great! Even tiny humans who think "petting" means enthusiastically rubbing a sticky palm across her face, on her eye, in her ear, and up her nose.
But, really...what about other dogs? Truly, she's great with other dogs! She casually tries to friend all dogs, and if they friend her back, she's willing to be a buddy for life. She's great around puppies, little chi's, great danes, and everything in between. She doesn't appreciate being barked at, but let's be honest. Who does?!
She went through some hip surgery at Christmas to assist with an old injury, and her recovery is going great! She's off all restrictions and her therapy consists of walking with her, taking her to the dog park, and playing with her. Yup! That's it! Oh, and don't tell her that she has a bum leg, she isn't aware of it and we're trying to keep it secret. She just thinks that she woke up one day and *bam* the pain in her hip went away! ; ) Want to see her in action? check out this little clip of her at the dog park
