Solo is a Labrador Retriever mix who was living alone on the streets of Houston's Fifth Ward.  She was suffering from demodex mange and malnutrition.  A good samaritan scooped her up and got her into the safety of rescue.   She has fully recovered and now weighs 40 lbs.  

Solo understands the following commands:  Sit, come, kennel, treat, ball, outside, inside, no. When you say "kennel" she races to her kennel and sits patiently waiting for a treat and praise.  It is easy to train her because she is so intelligent, eager to please, and will do anything for a treat or a tennis ball, which are her favorite things (a REAL tennis ball; she will not fetch the cheap imitations). Check out the video below  of her ball-retrieving skills and you will see that she is intense, quick, and can catch the ball high in the air.  A video of her playing with her pink panther toy is also below. 

If you are looking for a love bug that is crate and house trained, good on a leash, rides great in the car, gets along with  other dogs, then Solo is your girl. Note that she  desperately wants to play with the cats but they have no interest in a silly puppy.  Please d on't hesitate to submit an application to meet and potentially adopt precious Solo .   She is sharp as a tack, sweet as pie, cute as a bug, loves to cuddle, and will be a fantastic addition for one lucky family. Solo is a very well -behaved bundle of joy who won't be around for long!

The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip.

Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.
