Hi, I'm Monarch. My foster parents call me Moe. I am a gorgeous black labrador / shepherd mix with white chips on my feet and a white crest.  I have beautiful amber eyes.  I am shy and reserved when I first meet people, but quickly become loving and playful.  I enjoy trips to the dog park to dip my feet in the water and run and play with other dogs. I don't like it when stargers come near my house and I let them know by barking. I warm to people rather quick and love getting belly rubs.

My foster parents say I have a lot of energy and that's why they take me out for walks. I do have a big yard and I get to run as long as I want. I love to tear stuffed animals, love kong stuffed toys. I am very playul and get along with little and big dogs AND the cat. I love to cuddle, sit on your lap, eat treats and play with my siblings and foster parents.

I walk into my crate on my own and stay in it while you're at work or out running errands. I do like to sleep in my day bed at night.  I'm usually really good about staying off furniture unless you allow me on the sofa or bed. I do like to make sure you're ok at night while you sleep. I gently nudge on your hand or your foot....it's just what I do to show you my love! 

I love having a big brother or sister to play with!!  I am leashed trained, house broken, and know basic commands (sit, shake, lay down & roll over)

I am a sweet baby who only wishes to find My forever home and for My new parent (s) to NEVER LEAVE me. I promise I to love for ever and ever!

The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip.

Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.

NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.

AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues.
